About The Poulshot Environment Map |
This environment map was built to show features and interesting items about the village of Poulshot. It is designed to be used on a desktop computer (Mac or Windows) using Firefox, Chrome or Safari.
Due to the size and scale, it is not designed to be used on a portable, small screen device such as a phone.
Each of the map's elements can be toggled on-off using the menu in the top right. You can also choose the map projection you wish to see, Open Street Map and Google Street Map provide standard mapping views. There are two Satellite views based on two different providers, ArcGis and Google.
The map shows details of the rights of way (byways, footpaths, permissive paths, bridleways) according to a variety of original sources. The length and naming is based on the original Wiltshire Council RoW records.
The map shows the boundary of the Parish, the Conservation Area and the Village Green (based on 2019 registration).
Each Marker on the map can be clicked to provide information on the old photo, Click ZOOM to see a larger version of the photo.
The Tree data is taken from the village Tree report and includes the data from the survey in 2017.
You can submit items for review to be added to this map. Use the form provided from the link on the top right. You can submit any type of location marker for consideration (Photo, Historical Event, Village "Asset" etc).
